Governance

The Bioproductions program is co-led by INRAE and IFPEN. These two institutes will mobilize French scientific expertise on the research topics of the program, in line with national strategies and initiatives led by other PEPR research programs.

The program's governance is organized into several committees:

Steering committee

The steering committee is composed of two people ensuring the direction of the program, each from one of the leading institutions, Monique Axelos (INRAE) and Abdelhakim Koudil (IFPEN), a person from INRAE in charge of coordinating the program, with the support of a dedicated service unit within INRAE. The leaders of the five key areas are also part of the steering committee.

This committee will be responsible for the organization of the program, its implementation and monitoring, as well as the scientific activities organized with the main stakeholders and sector institutes, in addition to cooperation with other involved committees and other research programs.

Inter-institutional strategic committee

This committee will be chaired by the respective representative of the scientific management of INRAE and IFPEN and will bring together the multi-institutional partners of the program. This committee will be tasked with guiding the strategy and the main areas of focus proposed by the steering committee before submission to the Scientific and Technological Committee of the program.

International Scientifique Advisory Board (SAB)

This board will consist of 8 to 10 internationally recognized scientists with expertise in the field of this research program and will be chaired by a recognized scientist. It will review the program's progress each year and provide advice on the strategies chosen by the steering committee, as well as on the program's main activities and results.

Stakeholder committee

This committee will consist of about ten members from the non-academic world, such as local authorities, NGOs, technical institutes, agricultural cooperatives, unions, and representatives from industries covering various relevant economic sectors, either through their organizations or through consortia, and certain representatives from major industrial groups. An annual meeting will be organized to present the program's project results, and this committee's contribution will focus on representing the specific issues of all stakeholders and the possible valorization of these results.
