Call for projects

The call for projects (AAP) represents the largest portion of the budget allocated to research projects within the program and will be conducted in two waves. The first wave closed in April 2024, and evaluation is currently underway. A second call will be launched at the end of 2024.

Research projects resulting from the AAP are expected to advance knowledge in the fields covered by the Bioproductions program and complement the targeted projects of the various axes, either by going further in existing directions or by exploring new ones. This call pertains to the first four research axes of the program.

In general, the expected technology readiness levels (TRL) are 1-3, with the aim of reaching TRL 4 by the end of the project. A minimum budget of 800k€ per project is anticipated to encourage large-scale projects, with the possibility of funding one or more pieces of equipment, provided that these do not exceed 35% of the project's total budget.

The list of recipients from the first call for projects launched in early 2024 will be published on this page. The second call for projects will be launched at the end of 2024.
