Call for expressions of interest (CFEI)

The B-BEST program's call for expressions of interest aims to identify and help structure a French research community in the humanities and social sciences applied to the program's themes of interest.

Organized in two sessions, at the beginning and end of 2024, the winning projects of this CFEI will constitute the fifth scientific area of the program, dedicated to the study of transition processes linked to the bioeconomy and their governance.

Winning project

The HEARTS project, the first winner of this call for expressions of interest, was selected by an international jury of three scientists chosen by the program management for their recognized expertise in the field of humanities and social sciences (HSS). 

The first project in the B-BEST program's HSS research area, HEARTS will implement interdisciplinarity by immersing humanities and social science researchers in the laboratories involved in the program.

This collaboration will enable the program's diverse scientific communities to address societal issues related to the impact of the development of the bioeconomy.
